    Product Description

    This is a straight through version of the F80M2. Now you can use a finderscope in conjunction with auto guiders or mount a Nagler 22 to the telescope for stunning wide field views. This finder provides a straight through inverted image only. It will not work with a diagonal. The 2" helical focuser has a 1.25" adapter and our E3023R crosshair eyepiece that works with optional illuminators. For a true porthole view of the sky, use our 2" 26mm 68-degree crosshair reticle eyepiece. 

    NOTE: This is the finderscope only. Visit our 80 mm mounting rings page to select the ring system you will need to mount this finderscope to your particular telescope.  

    Important! When installing mounting rings DO NOT unscrew the dew shield. The objective may fall out. Always unscrew the rear assembly (adapter, prism, focuser, eyepiece) from the main tube to install the rings.

    *Rear thread size for all F080 models is M82 x 1mm

      The quality of Stellarvue products are at the top and this one is no different. I highly recommend this finder for anyone that prefers a straight through viewer.

      I received this scope with a modest discount because I declined the included eyepiece and reportedly the paint job was imperfect (I haven't been able to find the imperfection). The finder is a fast (f 3.75) achromat manufactured in China. I was not expecting a lot beyond considerable light gathering and FOV. Stellarvue doesn't even put their name on the scope... not up to their very high standards. I have used it with a televise 25mm Plössl as the eyepiece, somewhat overkill in terms of quality and certainly an upgrade from the stock eyepiece. With that caveat, I have to say it's a fabulous finder and a pretty decent achromat in its own right! Definitely a great bargain at the price. Highly recommended.

      Nice finder scope. Light weight and mount works well. Dob needed a light weight finder this did very well.
