Product Description
These guide scopes now come with both a 10 mm and 15 mm threaded extension. Using these threaded extensions, this guide scope may be converted into a straight through finder scope or used with a very wide variety of guide cameras! Just install the extension between the focuser and main finder scope tube as shown below and add our optional 1.25” reticle eyepiece. But please note, this guide scope is not designed to work with a diagonal.
The Stellarvue guide scope weighs 18 ounces and works with all of our standard 50 mm ring systems. This guide scope employs the same high quality 210 mm focal length, broadband fully multi-coated objective lens as in our top rated F50 finder scopes. Other fittings are black anodized. Main tube is interior painted in ultra flat black. Focuser is lubricated for improved stability and smoothness. Tube is 54.5 mm in diameter, dew shield is about 58 mm in diameter. The length is 9 1/4” - 9 3/4”.
If you cannot attain focus with your guide camera even with both of the included rings then you may purchase additional STE52 extension tubes to increase the distance between the focuser and objective lens. Purchase these on the STE52 page.
Important! When installing mounting rings DO NOT unscrew the dew shield. The objective may fall out. Always unscrew the rear assembly (adapter, prism, focuser, eyepiece) from the main tube to install the rings.
*Rear thread size for all F050 models is M52 x 1mm

Photographic Guide scope
Amazing detail with this spotting/guide scope. Very well built in optics as well as fit and finish!

50mm Guidescope
Shipping was quick, it was here in 3 or 4 days. Quality looks great. I've only just seen 1st light with it. I was able to accomplish pinpoint focus and autoguiding using Phd II and an ASI1200 mini cam. So far so good! Happy camper!

F050 Guidescope
I like this unit basically due to it's build and design qualities. It can be used as both a guide and finder scope if needed. The ability to add/remove provided rings to accomplish focal lengths to support these is very neat. I also like the focuser design which maintains a stable camera/eyepiece and the locking screw to keep it in place once it is focused. It is working well for me - nuf said.

Good, not great
The optics are fine, acceptable for use as a guide scope. The helical focus mechanism is smooth, and it locks down solidly, but there isn't much focus travel. I would have preferred a draw tube that would allow use of a camera or eyepiece without installing the extender ring and likely ruining the pointing. The finish is great, and the knurled texture on the focus barrel is an elegant touch.

Same great quality
Same great quality and performance I've come to expect from Stellarvue. Perfect for my guide camera, smooth operation, and not too heavy. Thanks Stellarvue.

F050G Guide Scope
Well constructed with high quality helical focuser and optics. Sharp image. A plus that it can be used visually or with camera using the supplied extensions.

High quality guide scope
This guide scope has a couple of very nice features. There is a spacer ring that allows scope to be used for guide cameras when the spacer is out, or visual, when the spacer is in place. The focus is lockable and has a numeric index for focus travel.

Compact guidescope, nice focuser
This guidescope is a nice unit. It is compact, works as both a finderscope and a guidescope. It would be better yet if the focus range was longer to allow the use of a diagonal when using it as a finder scope.
