A Muti Reticle Red Dot Finder sold by StellarVue
There are always red dot finders. Most are made of plastic with a plastic reticle and cheap, plastic knows. Then there is the F002 sold by StellarVue. It's metal. All metal except for the glass reticle screen. Then there is the red dot itself. This model has a variety of options from a circle with a dot, a circle with cross hairs and no dot and cross hairs. Just about any variety of red dots you could want except cheap junk..this is a Full featured finder. The only field critique is one may not adjust the position of the pointing reticle dot without having use of the enclosed Allen wrench. It also must be installed with an Allen wrench. If that bothers you, there are much less expensive options out there. This is the one I choose. When the OTA has an aperture less than 115mm, you will find this handier than a 50 or 60mm finderscope! It's up to you. Thankfully, StellarVue has options for you..if you insist on the less expensive plastic version, feel free. Chances are you will come back and read a review like this and make a different selection next time.

Top notch reticle finder
I'm so pleased with this finder that I'm going out to buy a second one. Sturdy construction, easy to use controls and sufficient brightness settings. I do wish the dimmest setting was a tad dimmer, but it's like most other finders in that respect. Worth mentioning the great support, quick answers to questions - plus the great packaging and quick shipping of the item. I also bought an F002T base, and an older F001 base for an older Stellarvie F001 finder, and it fits my Celestron Starpointer too. (Yes, I have a few scopes). I'm returning to the hobby after a few year break, and Stellarvue keeps coming on my radar for all sorts of scopes and accessories. They've sure come a long way in offering top notch gear at good prices;

Very Good Finder
As others have said this is a very high quality finder as most of the units in the marketplace are very inexpensive plastic and of low quality. Also as has been stated it's too bright on the lowest setting to be completely useful. I'm looking for some clear darkened film that I could place over the tiny window where the laser comes out but I haven't yet found any. It's possible that doing that will increase diffraction on the laser and make the beam less sharp but for now I'm just living with the over bright beam.

MRF Finder
I haven’t even attached this to my telescope yet, but just from testing it out in a darkened room, it is already clear that this is a huge improvement over the plastic red-dot finders that I have been using. Well done, Stellarvue! Thanks also, Isaac, for your valuable, timely advice.

MRF Finder
Very easy to align telescope with. Highly recommended.

It's just a duplicate. I already have one and consider it the best finder on the market for my needs. I just want to have an extra in case the other one should go belly up .
As an aside, US mail ( 1st class) was very slow.

F002 MRF Finder
Finally, an all metal, precise adjustment, red dot finder to replace the wobbly plastic types. Thank you. Works great.

Stellarview - F002 Red Dot Finder Review
Far superior to the less expensive, off-the-shelf private label finders sold by other major brands. My reason for giving this finder a 4 star rating vs. 5 is that there is no light intensity adjustment. At night, all reticle patterns except the simple red dot are too bright for practical use.

great finder !
This finder gets dim enough to actually be useful. I use it on a giant binocular for a double star project
