These guide scopes now come with both a 10 mm and 15 mm threaded extension. Using these threaded extensions, this guide scope may be converted into a straight through finder scope or used with a very wide variety of guide cameras! Just install the extension between the focuser and main finder scope tube as shown below and add our optional 1.25” reticle eyepiece. But please note, this guide scope is not designed to work with a diagonal.
The Stellarvue guide scope weighs 18 ounces and works with all of our standard 50 mm ring systems. This guide scope employs the same high quality 210 mm focal length, broadband fully multi-coated objective lens as in our top rated F50 finder scopes. Other fittings are black anodized. Main tube is interior painted in ultra flat black. Focuser is lubricated for improved stability and smoothness. Tube is 54.5 mm in diameter, dew shield is about 58 mm in diameter. The length is 9 1/4” - 9 3/4”.
If you cannot attain focus with your guide camera even with both of the included rings, then you may purchase additional STE52 extension tubes to increase the distance between the focuser and objective lens. Purchase these on the STE52 page.
Important! When installing mounting rings DO NOT unscrew the dew shield. The objective may fall out. Always unscrew the rear assembly (adapter, prism, focuser, eyepiece) from the main tube to install the rings.
*Rear thread size for all F050 models is M52 x 1mm

F050G Guidescope
Fantastic little guidescope that feels fairly robust and is well made with very sharp stars. The helical focuser also makes setup a breeze and very quick.

Great guide scope
This is the best guide scope I own. I have a few, 80mm, 70mm, 60mm and another 50mm. This one is by far the best. The quality is awesome, and the images are bright and sharp. Best of all its compact and lightweight. Paired with my ASI174mm guiding is accurate and reliable.

Excellent guidescope
I purchased this guidescope to pair with my SVX-130T, even though I already had a 50mm guidescope from a different manufacturer. I wanted to get one with a dedicated focuser rather then a rotolock with a rotating dewshield for focus adjustment. This scope costs the same as my other one, but has the advantage of the dedicated focuser. I am getting very clean images from my guide camera, much better then in my previous scope as I am able to finely adjust the focus. The scope is very solid, well built with the expected attention to craftsmanship that one demands from Stellarvue. I wish that the scope still had the Stellarvue name printed on the dewshield. I also found that for my ZWO ASI290mm-mini guide camera, I would need about 25mm in additional spacers to allow the camera to completely fit in the focuser and near the midpoint of the focus range. For now, the camera must be pulled out and then locked. It is solid but would require adjustment if I need to remove and re-insert the camera. Overall, an excellent upgrade from my previous guidescope. I would highly recommend this scope and one of the rings that Stellarvue sells for any telescope system.

Way better then the ones common on amazon or other astrophotography venders.
I’ve had 3 other guidescopes this one is the best. Better stars for phd2.
