Product Description
These bases to attach F002 Multi-Reticle Finder to various telescopes. Choose the selection above that works for your telescope.
Note: We do not supply these with attachment screws. Many SCT mirror cells use threaded holes that are open and if too long a screw is used it can strike and damage the mirror. So, use the appropriate length screw that will not extend into the mirror cell deeper than the screws you remove from these threaded holes.

F002D finder adapter
I think this is the correct part number. the upper dovetail is quite small and consequently the finder clamps, that look like they are for a Pic rail, dont fit well. results in a tilted finder. does not really matter but it seems like of accidental and not really keeping with the level of attention to detail I've come to expect from SV. Paul: The F2D dovetail shoe is machined perpendicular so when the screws on one side push the adapter against the other side, that edge aligns it as long as the shoe itself is squarely attached. The reason we make the F2D smaller is so it will fit into a wide variety of shoes made by various manufacturers. It is sad that there is very litle standardization from one vendor to another. There is no issue with the F2D being slightly smaller than the shoe since the two screws push it solidly against the edge.

F002 finder base
I bought this to hold the Multi Reticular finder on my 80/9D telescope. The base slides into the slot on the telescope well it didn't come with any set screws so I had to dig an old one out of my storage case. I was disappointed at how the finder fit onto the F002 base. The F002 base appears to be wider than the finder such that the finder base must be loosened extra far for it to fit. When it is tightened to the base, the finder does not fit snugly but sits cockeyed on the base. It works and does the job...I just expected a better fit.

Great service as usual !
I bought a second-hand Stellarvue 70ED that came with a Stellarvue red dot finder. Sadly, it was missing the part that attaches the finder to the optical tube. I wasn't sure which part to buy so I contacted Stellarvue support and they guided me. I bought the part according to their instructions and everything works great. Excellent service !
