    Product Description

    This is a 48mm extension tube that adds 5mm in total length. The outside diameter is 2.0". The male thread is 5mm long and the female thread is 4.5 mm deep.
     IMPORTANT: Most 48mm male threads are longer than the female thread in this extension so when you use it you may end up with slightly more extension than 5 mm.

      I needed to achieve the requird back focus between my RedCat 51 and ZWO ASI533MC CCD camera. The Stellarvue expert staff helped me do this by promptly sending me this adapter.

      This item suffers from the same problems as other Stellarvue 48mm adapters: thin, almost flimsy construction, and a smooth outer finish that is impossible to grasp once installed.

      This is actually not a variable/adjustable adapter, just a spacer with extended male threads, with locking ring. It suffers from the same drawbacks as very inexpensive versions: thin, nearly flimsy construction, and a smooth outer finish that makes it nearly impossible to grasp one installed.

      Spacer ring M48 5mm was perfect fit and size. Fast shipping high quality item. Fixed my backfocus issue

      This increased my backfocus by exactly 5mm. Also it was M48. Can't ask for much more than that.

      I purchased every M48 extension tube Stellarvue has to offer in order to get the spacing just right for my EdgeHD SCT and I was amazed at the build quality. They are light weight and solid. Combining them allows me to get perfect images without vignetting on a full frame DSLR.
