Illuminator for Reticle Eyepieces - EI002
I was in need of a better LED illuminator for my crosshair eyepieces, and I came across the Stellarvue offering. Well, I own several Stellarvue telescopes, so I knew they sold quality gear. These are no exception. Extremely well made, milled to fine tolerances, and the LED has a wide range of illumination, from barely visible to "Holy Crap, That's Bright". I could not be more pleased with this purchase, and I will probably buy a few more to replace my other illuminators. The large knob is not intrusive for my uses, and it have a very solid click detent to the Off position. I highly recommend this illuminator. If you need one, get this one.

Very Versatile Illuminator
Recently I bought a Stellarview EI002 illuminator for use with my Meade 9 mm reticle EP. It works great. In my last review I said I would attempt making an adapter to fit this illuminator on the polar scope of my Losmandy G11 mount. I am now confirming that I made an adapter out of brass and it works great. I get plenty of illumination of Losmandy reticle even though the illuminator is roughly 9 mm away from the polar scope (length of adapter). The system is working great. This review does not allow posting pictures. I would have loved to post a photo of my G11 polar scope showing how this Stellarview illuminator fits.

Great performing illuminator
Bought this for my reticle EP. I find the illumination control is excellent. LED light beam is wide which is good as it allows wide variation in mounting error. I have even placed the LED nearly 1/2" out and I still get good illumination. I live in a suburban site and hence I have not tried it at real dark site though. I will next make an adapter to use this with polar scope of my G11 and see how it works. I am confident that it will work well.

A solid product
The illuminator seems to be a solid, well-built item. The mount into the eyepiece is really firm.

Bright and in focus
I've had other reticle illuminators, but this one is the brightest yet. In fact, I've already ordered three more!

Well Constructed
The original illuminator that came with my reticle eyepiece which I purchased from OPT was poorly made and quickly failed as the switch mechanism gave out. The eyepiece itself was of good quality however so i just needed a better illuminator. This one from Stellarvue seems to be of more robust construction, has a large on-off switch and nicely illuminates the eyepiece reticle. I am pleased with this and it was a reasonable price.

Great Eyepiece For Doing 3-Star Alignments
I wanted to add another level off accuracy to my 3-star alignments, so I decided to purchase the Stellarvue 2" 32mm illuminated reticle eyepiece. I wasn't disappointed. The eyepiece is very well made, well thought out, and when used in combination with the Stellarvue red light illuminator it displayed a nice single-line cross. By varying the intensity of the red light illuminator, you can get just the right view to center those stars for your alignment process. I highly recommend this product!

Excellent form, function, cost
It made me smile to look at this little beauty after opening the package. It does exactly what it's supposed to in a lightweight, functional package, and at a good price.

Great Illuminator
This is the second item I purchased from Stellarvue (1st was the 10x60 correct image finderscope). As with my first purchase the item was well packed and arrived quickly. I am extremely pleased with the professional quality of Stellarvue products. This addition to my Stellarvue finderscope makes it complete and first class. I didn't think I needed the illuminator initially, but, after discovering the difficulty viewing the reticle under dark skys, I purchased it. It's well made with an intesity control that's solid, smooth, and has good range. Installation was easy, and it solves the problem. Apparently, you can't go wrong with Stellarvue products. The finderscope is outstandind too. I wanted high quality, and I got it. Thanks.
