This black-anodized, cnc-machined aluminum handle fits on the top of both mounting rings for our 127 - 180 mm refractors. It utilizes the two center top holes on the rings for attachment. Since the handle attaches to both rings, they will be spaced about 8.5" apart. Make sure your lower rail can accomodate this ring spacing.
The handle is a Vixen dovetail shape and there is an Arca-Swiss dovetail on top. The rail includes riser bases and two screws to attach the handle securely. The handle features a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the center for a ball-mount or other uses and various grooves along the handle's length for mounting control boxes or other accessories. In the center of the handle are two long slots that will accept either M6 or 1/4-20 socket cap head screws. Use these for mounting a small control box under the handle if you wish. On either side of this slot are two additional slots that will accomdate M4 or #8 screws. Use these to slots along with two M4X25 screws and nuts to attach an FBE Synta-style shoe to the top of the handle in case you have mounted a Synta-style dovetail foot to your control box.
