Product Description
Risers are used to raise telescope mounting rings away from the rings and telescope for various reasons. These short 1" high risers are often used with electronics to mount the distribution boxes under the top rings. The RS-1 is 1" wide, 1" high and 90mm wide. It works with rings and rails that have either a center mounting hole only or have two holes that are between 25mm and 60 mm apart. We provide a total of eight 1/4-20 screws with 1" risers. Four are 1 3/4" screws that work with thick plates like our TP013A. The other four are 1 1/2" long for thinner plates. These screws will not work with import rings that use a 6 mm thread.
To mount the risers, pass the screws through the mounting plate, then the risers and attach to the mounting rings.
Bolt Length Warning: Some telescope rings have threaded attachment holes that go completely through the ring. If too long a bolt is used it could damage the telescope tube so measure this before using. Put the bolt through the rail and the riser block and measure the length of the bolt coming out of the top of the riser block. Make sure your ring is at least this thick.

1" risers
They work fine to avoid pier collisions. I have an 8" pier (should have been 6"). I replaced the 2½ risers I bought previously and this improved noticeably with my precision on polar alignment and modeling. They are SAE. My scope rings are metric. Visited local hardware store for some M6 40 mm. Also it was not exactly clear to me if the price was for the set of two as shown in the photo or price is for each one. I have two scopes, ordered two sets and got four risers not just two, so there you go.
