Product Description
This is our deluxe case for the standard aluminum-tube version of the Stellarvue SVX140T with a 7.33" diameter dew shield. If you have the lightweight or carbon fiber version of the SVX140T with a 6 5/8" diameter dew shield use the SKB Case for SVX-127D, SVX130T or SVX140T-R.
The case comes in three different styles (choose the option above):
1. Empty case: You supply your own padding.
2. Layered Foam: Layers of solid foam that you cut using an electric carving knife. For this option we suggest you use spray contact cement to combine adhere the layers together, mark and then cut the foam with an electric carving knife. This is the soft foam that comes with the SKB case and it is very cushy and insulating. It is not as durable as the PE foam used in our custom cases.
3. Custom Cut Foam: As shown when you select this option, we use durable, solid TopGuard PE Foam​ custom cut to fit the SVX130T, SVX130T-R Raptor or SVX140T-R Raptor. This case accepts the telescope including rings, bottom and top rails. The case is roomy enough for the 1" riser bars and rail on top to accomodate your control box mounted underneath. The upgrade cost on this durable foam is at our cost. This is the most durable option.
Note: We do not recommend you purchase pluck foam for these cases as it will deteriorate after only a few uses.
