This beautiful Andromeda image was submitted to us by Dennis Sprinkle. Earlier this month it was awarded Astrobin’s image of the day. To “Own the Night,” Dennis used his Stellarvue SVQ86 mounted on an Astro-Physics Mach1GTO with a QHYCCD QHY128C camera attached. Software used to capture the image: Sequence Generator Pro, PHD2. Editing software: PixInsight, Astro Pixel Processor, and Photoshop. Total data gathered - Main Panel: (145) Subs @ 600secs – 1x1 @ Gain 2200, Second Panel: (125) Subs @ 600secs – 1x1 @ Gain 2200. Total hours to capture was 45 hours.
We are happy to share Dennis’ incredible image with the Stellarvue family. If his name sounds familiar, it may be because we’ve shared a few images of his images this year. Dennis says “I am loving this scope! Nice sharp stars in the corners and almost no vignetting at all on a full frame chip! Wish I had two of them LOL.” We are proud to hear such praise from Dennis. It never gets old to hear that our customers are happy with how our telescopes are performing for them.
