This monochromatic image was submitted to us by Kai Yang. The amount of detail in the gray tones is nothing less than amazing. Kai imaged on numerous nights totaling 48 hours of Ha data. To “own the night,” Kai used his SVQ100 on an Astro-Physics Mach1 GTO CP3 mount. His imaging camera was a SBIG STT-8300M, and software used included PixInsight 1.8 PI 1.8, Sequence Generator Pro, PHD2 SGP + PHD2.
