Stellar Shot of the Week: December 18, 2020
"Sh2-206 • NGC 1491 • Fossil Footprint Nebula in SHO" - by Douglas Struble
Congratulations to this week's StellarShot of the Week, and our second "Douglas" in a row, none other than Douglas Struble. Doug was using his trusty SVX102T-R along with another brand's 152mm telescope. Doug used the ASI1600mm-p and a mixture of Astrodon and Astronomik filters. For full details on his setup please visit his Astrobin page (https://www.astrobin.com/3mdkxh/0/). As always we love seeing these lesser-imaged targets, and Doug has a fantastic knack for finding the rare ones like this. Plus he has the technical abilities and processing skills to actually make them look good!
Make sure to go give Douglas a follow on Astrobin (account name "dugstruble"), and don't forget to submit your own images to us directly by email, or by tagging them with #stellarvue and #stellarshot
