One hour ago I finished the most advanced refractor I have made to date. This is the second SVA135 dual fluoro apo triplet using dual OK4 fluorophosphate elements. It is 135 mm f-5.4. This one is heavy but lighter than the first one thanks to very careful planning and machining. The star test tomorrow should be outstanding. Viewing the test star the image was like a picture in a textbook. The Zygo revealed that the Strehl ratio essentially perfect. Only three of these lenses were made for us in Russia. The first one is doing nightly work in Hawaii for the Institute for Astronomy, this second one goes to a very good customer of mine who has been admirably patient. Can anyone guess where the third one is going?
