Matthew Paige caught this remarkable image of the M81 Group of galaxies with his SVX102T. This group lies in the constellations Ursa Major and Camelopardalis and sits within the Virgo supercluster of galaxies. Most prominent in this image are galaxies M81, M82 and NGC 3077, which all interact with one another.
According to Matthew:
This "is the result of about 24 hours of exposure with my SVX102T. The M81 Group of galaxies lies near Ursa Major or the Big Dipper and is one of the closest distinct galaxy groups to our own Local Group. Some of the most prominent galaxies in this group are M81, M82, NGC2976, and NGC3077. With enough exposure time, we can see wisps of Integrated Flux Nebulae throughout the area."
