In the constellation Pegasus, Brian Meyer reached deep to capture this shot of NGC 7331 and Stephan’s Quintet with his SVX152T. NGC 7331 in the foreground, is the brightest galaxy in a group of galaxies known as the Deer Lick Group. In the background to the upper right, is Stephan’s Quintet, the most studied of all compact galaxy groups. The brightest member of this group is NGC 7320, which has immense regions of ionized hydrogen, seen as red blobs, where active star formation occurs.
