Brian Meyers captured this amazing image of the Elephant’s Trunk (IC1396) with his SVX90T. Located in the constellation Cepheus, this nebula is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust that lies within the much larger ionized gas region IC 1396. 2,400 lightyears away from Earth and 20 lightyears in diameter, the Elephant's Trunk Nebula is illuminated and ionized by the very bright and massive nearby star, HD 206267.
