Brian Meyers caught this excellent image of the Squid Nebula (Ou4) in Cepheus using his SVX90T. Resting roughly 2,300 light-years away from Earth and spanning about 50 light-years in diameter, this nebula is completely surrounded by the reddish hydrogen emissions from the Flying Bat Nebula (Sh2-129) that sits behind it. At its center is a triple system of hot, massive stars named HR8119.
