Product Description
Risers are used to attain balance when imaging with some smaller telescope systems. This is particularly important when mounting cameras to our SVX80T. They may also be needed when using our 102 mm refractors. With these lighter telescopes, the relatively heavy camera adds more weight to the rear, creating an imbalance. To solve this issue, Stellarvue created risers. These Stellarvue risers move the telescope 2.5" above the rail to provide plenty of extra needed clearance for the camera. Then, using a longer rail that extends underneath the camera, the telescope and camera may be moved forward, balancing the entire system on the mount.
This set includes two riser blocks (RSX-SET), a TP-013A Losmandy sized rail (13" long), and four 1/4-20 screws. (Note: If your system requires a Vixen rail instead of this Losmandy rail, use the RSX-V instead.)
SELECT THE CORRECT THREAD! Two styles of this configuration are offered. If your rings have the standard American 1/4-20 threaded holes select that option above. If you have import rings that use metric 6 mm threaded holes, select the metric option above.

Fantastic Riser and Rail Set!
I wanted to mount a Powerbox under the scope as well as a little more clearance for my filter wheel and this was the sturdiest looking riser set I could find. And it is!! Fit and finish is fantastic as well!

Riser with Losmandy base plate
These item are very well made. Nicely machined peices. The Losmandy plate is nice and wide with plenty of attachment points to suit every need. The Risers work perfectly for lifting my Stellarvue SV70T APO up, which gives me plenty of room for the focuser while also providing enough room to mount a small battery pack to the plate for my dew heater. We'll worth the investment!

Great
My SVX102D with pegasus focuser was hitting the USB cables and power cables on my Ioptron Gem 45 mount. Thanks to these risers I can now rotate the camera and balance the telescope w/o hitting any cables on the mount. Super high quality product. Great finish and fit. With Stellarvue it's not only about the great optical quality of their telescopes. It is also great to have a company that supports their telescopes with high quality accessories.

STELLARVUE RISER SET SYSTEM WITH LOSMANDY SIZED RAIL - RSS-L
Superbly made product. Perfect for my Espirit 80 telescope. Unfortunately the dimensions of my telescope rings do not match the wide slots of the Losmandy plate. However the center holes allow a secure attachment to them with 2 bolts. System came with 4 bolts, a very nice extra. Only disappointment was the long wait time for the product. However an accurate wait period was provided at the time of my purchase.
