    Product Description

    Made in our cnc shop, this solid aluminum Vixen-style (V) rail is made with 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock. It has numerous threaded holes for various uses. Attaches directly to any mount that uses the standard Vixen sized shoe or it may be attached to a heavy duty camera tripod. The Vixen style rail is used on most mounts including the Stellarvue M1, M2, and MG2 mounts, Vixen mounts, Celestron CG5, Orion mounts and many others. Our dual mounting rings and cnc clamshell will attach to this rail. Comes with two, 1/4-20 x 5/8 long, mounting screws and one 1/4-20 X 3/8” safety screw. 6” long, the perfect length for most of our telescopes.  Metric 6mm cap-head screws may not fit.

    *Please note, for some dual-series saddles (like the Advanced VX) you will need to increase your clearance by adding some space between this dovetail and the scope/rings.

      Great Mount

      Had to purchase four stainless steel washers to make a tight fit with the adapter plate. Screws just a bit too long. Otherwise altazimuth Mount very smooth. Haven’t yet tested it under the stars. What is the smallest tripod you would recommend for my setup with my TV85? I need to somehow get into a carry on bag.

      I have a couple of these to fit a Televue and Coronado on a iOptron and Orion Sirius mounts respectively. The exact dimensions are given in the product description and it does meet those specifications.

      Precision Manufacturing at its Best

      I bought the Stellarvue rail to put on a scope to be mounted on a Stellarvue MGE Mount Head. It works perfectly and has a precision fit I have come to expect from Stellarvue. Made to the highest precision standards by Stellarvue!! Thanks Vic

      TP-14 Vixen Dovetail (Rail)

      I will use it attached to my SV-80S apo. I've been getting by with a rather dated Nighthawk SV dovetail for many years, which is shorter and has no emergency stop to help prevent a drop to the ground if the dovetail shoe fasteners loosen up or the dovetail is inadvertently cocked. Ounce of prevention is worth the piece of mind!

      Look. It's a rail. It's nicely made. It has pre drilled holes that make it easy to be attached to a TP60. It works great. It doesn't brew coffee or take out the trash. It's s very nice rail.
